An author returns to his hometown of Jerusalem's Lot in search of inspiration for his next book, only to find that the townspeople are being attacked by a bloodthirsty vampire. Writer Gary Dauberman told Den of Geek in June 2019 that his goal with the new version of Salem’s Lot is to make vampires scary again. It wants to break away from the sexier, more romantic undead that have infested pop culture for much of the last quarter century, thanks to everything from Interview with the Vampire to Twilight to The Vampire Diaries. It is assumed that the work was printed in 1956, at a time when the term “DUI”; it was not yet in use..
Ok, I just watched one of my favorite Stephen King novels

I loved the 1979 version which I eagerly watched as a 15 year old. I’ve been expecting to see this for a while, at least since the whispers of a remake starting.
The acting was just ok
The movie wasn’t terrible I gave it a six (which may be too generous) because the movie was watchable. I so hoped it would be remade with the kind of money they write playing everything “Her”; had when the last remake was made. Everything was a bit messed up with this movie. Character development was pretty much non-existent.
Why redo something if not to make it stand out!
He could have done a lot better in developing some interest in the characters. I think it was me rushing towards the end, the drive at the end was terrible, someone should have pumped the brakes hard on that one! Why? Stephen King is a wonderful writer and if the production is done right then it should be wonderful.
